Michel shares his Fibonacci strategy and tips for Funding Frontier’s challenge. Learn his patient approach to funded trading.
Please introduce yourself: Who you are, your age, where you are from and what you do for a living?
My name is Michel Vorst, I’m 28 years old and from Aruba, which is situated in the south of the Caribbean Sea. I am an assistant warehouse manager for one of the biggest companies on the island.
What is your trading routine?
Every day when the market closes I draw my Fibonacci based on the trend of the day and the following morning I check it again to see if it’s within my specified parameters.. if so I will wait to see my setup and execute accordingly.
What are your goals with funded trading?
My goal is to have multiple big funded accounts, which would allow me to become a full-time trader.
Do you have a trading plan in place, and do you strictly follow it? Please elaborate
I mainly trade based on the current trend of the market and I use my Fibonacci to enter on any potential pullbacks of the trend. On my fibs, I have both my stop loss and take profit targets automatically set, so it becomes plug-and-play for every trade.
What was the most challenging obstacle in your trading journey?
The biggest obstacle for me in trading would be the ability to remain patient as well controlling my emotions during trades, it’s something I improved on but I am still currently learning and getting better as I go.
What did you find easier, the FUNDING FRONTIER Challenge or the Verification phase? Share your thoughts:
The verification phase is easier simply because the target is smaller compared to the challenge phase.
How would you rate your experience with FUNDING FRONTIER?
So far my experience is an 8 out of 10. Funding Frontier is improving every day and they do everything in their power to make sure we as traders are happy, the support team is great and they are generally very fast but like with everything, there’s always room for improvement.
What advice would you give to other traders attempting the FUNDING FRONTIER Challenge?
Take your time with the challenge and simply follow the rules, the rules are there to help you succeed. Just have patience during the phases. You will get funded. Just trust the process.
Do you plan to take another FUNDING FRONTIER Challenge to manage even bigger capital?
This is the ideal plan, I plan on being one of the biggest funded traders for Funding Frontier in the future
Describe your best trade.
My best trade was a buy on GBP/JPY during phase 1 of my challenge. I passed that phase simply from that 1 trade which hit the 7.5% profit target in just a few hours.
What is the number one piece of advice you would give to a new trader?
A trading career is built through years of dedication. It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme so take your time and learn the craft, the profits will come afterward.
How did you first hear about FUNDING FRONTIER?
I was looking for a prop firm and because I’m a client of Dominion Markets I saw that Funding Frontier had partnered with them so I thought I would give them a go. And fortunately, I did!
