Meet Paulo Dobroes, a Funded Trader with Funding Frontier. Discover how Paulo secured funding and gain valuable insights and tips for building a successful trading journey.
Hello, my name is Paulo Dobroes. I’m 33 years old and from Portugal. I currently work part-time as a security guard, and I’m also a day trader.
I was introduced to trading over five years ago when a friend of mine was part of a trading group that shared signals. That’s when I first encountered forex trading and became interested in learning more.
Yes, I do. I regularly go to the gym and spend a lot of quality time with my family, going to the park with my daughter or playing football occasionally. These activities help me a lot because they keep me from staring at charts all day and help me reset mentally.
I wake up at 7 AM every day, do my analysis, take my daughter to school at 9 AM, and then return to the charts to continue trading.
My first goal was to pass the $5K challenge, which I’ve already achieved. My next milestones are the $10K and then the $100K challenge. Once I reach that level, I plan to pause and focus on maintaining consistency and stability.
Yes, I do. I’ve revised my plan several times, which I believe is part of the learning process. I now trade based on supply and demand and price action on the 1-hour chart, and I wait for entry confirmations on the 5-minute chart.
My trading style is disciplined and rooted in structure. I believe trading becomes much easier once you remove emotion and hesitation from the equation.
Without a doubt, fear. The fear of failing again and again. But everything changed when I stopped being afraid and detached my emotions from trading.
I found the Verification Phase easier. By then, I had already developed confidence and discipline from the challenge stage.
My experience has been very good. Funding Frontier is my first prop firm, and I have no complaints. All of my questions were answered quickly, and support has always been available. Kudos to the team.
Everyone will have their own journey, but in my opinion, you can trust Funding Frontier. They’re reliable and honest. Just follow the rules and focus on your process.
Yes, absolutely. As I mentioned earlier, I aim to reach the $25K challenge next and maybe even $100K in the future. It’s all in my hands now.
My best trades are the ones that move into profit within 15 minutes. I love fast, clean setups that hit my targets quickly.
Be consistent, stay focused, and never give up. One day, all your hard work will pay off.
If I remember correctly, it was through an Instagram ad.
My risk management is simple and consistent. I use a 1:2 or 1:3 risk-to-reward ratio and risk 1–2% per trade.
